This Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification taught by CPR Cincinnati is an American Heart Association course in which successful completion culminates in the student receiving the 2 Year AHA PALS card. Cards are awarded immediately after class. PALS instructors are certified through a rigorous AHA training program which helps promote conveyance of consistent and accurate information. Videos are also used during class in order to ensure curriculum completeness.
Generally PALS certification are are required by individuals who work in emergency departments, pediatric intensive care units, urgent care clinics, anesthesia units, pediatric surgery units, acute care units at children’s hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, advanced dentistry, respiratory therapy departments, some pharmacy departments, and many more. Just a note: Being PALS certified does not substitute for a Basic Life Suport (BLS) certification. BLS is a different course.
Before class students will review and study material from the PALS manual. Every student is required to have a manual before, during and after class. How much preparation time each student varies greatly and heavily depends on how often the healthcare professional uses PALS in their everyday occupations. This is also true of those that must have an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

To view the start time of the class, hover your mouse over the “PALS Renew” links. After locating a date and time that is convenient with your schedule, click the link. This will take you to the final enrollment page. After the enrollment form has been completed, click the submit button at the bottom right of the page.
Immediately after completing the one page registration page you will be emailed a receipt, as well as further information regarding the class such as location, date, and time.
