This Advanced Cardiac Life Support class is an American Heart Association course that is taught in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a renew class, also known as a refresher class, that will provide a full two year certification. The duration of the course ranges between 6-8 hours. Immediately after the successful completion of the course students will receive their 2 year ACLS certification card.
Does an ACLS certification override the requirements for a BLS certification? No! These courses are distinctly different. You do not need BLS to take ACLS, however it is highly recommended. You can also take our BLS-ACLS combo class in order to receive both cards on the same day. This is a popular choice among healthcare providers so they can sync these requirements so they can both be fulfilled at the same time every two years.
Some of the topics included will include a Science Overview, 1 Rescuer CPR with an AED, Management of Respiratory Arrest, Review of airway adjuncts, Megacode and Resuscitation Team Concept, Early recognition and treatment of stroke, Acute Coronary Syndromes- Early recognition and treatment, ACLS Algorithms, Pharmacology Review, etc.
At CPR Cincinnati we will do everything to ensure you have a relaxed and stress free ACLS class experience.
